Police taser and kill a medicated man on the edge

On the edge of what? A building, it turns out. Inman Morales was having a bad reaction to some medication he was taking. He was on top of a building with a florescent light, swinging it at police officers as they approached him. Instead of reasoning with Inman or even breaking his light with their batons, they shot a taser at him and shocked him for more than 5 seconds.

Because tasers temporarily paralyze the person they hit, Inman froze up and then fell over the ledge he was standing on. He landed head first on the cement below him, and he was killed instantly. Now, I know there isn't an IQ test you have to pass to become a police officer, but even common sense should tell you not to paralyze a crazy person standing on the edge of a building.

As of now, the officers involved have not been charged with any sort of crime, or fired for negligence. And if history is any indicator, they probably wont be. But citizens should be concerned about police who act in such a manner. Anybody could have a bad reaction to medication, and how would you feel about it if it was your brother or sister, and not just 'some crazy person'?
